Key Dates in Summer Term
18 June and 25 June 2023 – Parents Consultation Days
02 July 2023 (some classes may start on 25 June) – End of Year Exam. We would like to ask all parents to support your children at home.
25th Anniversary Event – 16 July 2023
As mentioned in the last newsletter, Watford Chinese Community School is celebrating 25th anniversary this year! WCCS PTA is currently organising a big celebratory event on the last day of term, 16 July 2023. There will be performances, games, raffle, hot food stalls…etc. In order to help them to prepare for the big day, please click on the link to complete 25th Anniversary Event Questionnaire.
Bookmark Competition – 18 June 2023
We are inviting all the creative individuals to design their very own bookmark to celebrate the school’s 25th anniversary! There are three groups:

Please return finished bookmarks to your class teacher by Sunday 18th June 2023. Winners will receive a prize and have their winning designs turned into real bookmarks!
WCCS Volunteers Wanted
We are currently looking for two volunteer teachers for Mandarin for 2023-2024. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese as well as able to commit for the full academic year. Other positions for Supply Teachers / TAs or School Office are always welcome. Please come to see us in the school hall if you are interested.
Autumn 2023-2024 Enrolment
Lastly, we will be opening the enrolment for the Autumn Term 2023-24 on 18 June 2023. Due to a significant increase in the school expenses this year, the new annual school fees will be £225 (GCSE £260: £235 school fee + £25 supplementary learning material) from September 2023. In addition, there is a high demand for Cantonese classes from Year 1 to Year 6, we will not be able to guarantee a place once the class is full. Please feel free to speak with me if you have any queries.
